I absolutely adore life/farm simulators. I went through Hay Day, Restaurant City, and other games on Facebook games, but nothing hit as well as Stardew Valley by ConcernedApe. It has a nostalgic mood to it, something that brings me back to the good ol’ days of simple Gameboy games and 8-bit music. However, I love the consistent updates and improvements to the game. My only regret is that I didn’t continue to play after 1.4 before my Nintendo Switch’s battery gave up.
New year, new game; I done did the do in about 180 hours within three or four weeks. I had to add a bunch of pics this time because my character looks cute as heck and also to remind me that as of update 1.3, I completed Everything™️ including rare collectibles but NOT all rare events like the capsule and owl statue, but those are so rare that not even 1% of players can ever experience it so I’m content with just this hahaha

Although I lost my local save file, I still remember how hard I worked to get to what was considered completion on Stardew Valley. I was on year four when I completed collecting everything for the museum. Money was no longer an issue; Skull Cavern was a fever dream that I didn’t want to touch with a 50ft pole. I upgraded everything I could and never forgot my farming roots even through all of the power bestowed upon me.

I also collected each animal that I could including special color variations!

I don’t remember if I gave them individual names, but there is a high chance that I did. One of the cows was surely named Bessie.

As a member of the Alphabet Mafia, I was in-between marrying Abigal and Sebastian. Ultimately, my lofty dreams of having a goth girlfriend-turned-wife won out.

This is just the main save file. I made several others with different farm set ups and objectives but I may never be able to go back to those farms. In the future though, I’ll definitely be attempting another completionist run with all of the new updates!
Finished as of December 31, 2018.
At least up until Version 1.3.
